Congratulations to Angie and Tim!

In just over an hour (24th May 2008), two of my groups (7th/17th Radcliffe, Greater Manchester North) leaders will be tying a different kind of knot (what a pun!).

They met through Scouting, at a jamboree fundraiser. Tim was already a long-standing leader in Crompton and Royton district, but when he got together with Angie, our group got him too. And I think both Angie and the group are lucky to have him.

They make a great couple and I wish them all the best in the future. Now I better be off, something about a guard of honour…

Congratulations!

International Resources Pack – Part 2

May 19th, 2008  |  Published in Ideas

This is part 2 of the international resources pack (part 1 can be found here), from a CD provided as part of Greater Manchester North leader training.

Whereas the first part focused on different international festivals, this part is generally more cultures and customs focused.

The files are split into multiple zips to keep each file under 100mb for uploading. The best way to sort them is one folder for part 1 (international festivals) and one folder for part two. You can download all files at once here.

International Resources Pack – Part 1

May 17th, 2008  |  Published in Ideas

My county, Greater Manchester North, runs leader training as a series of weekends throughout the year – Way Ahead.

I was on Way Ahead 4, and as part of Module 19 (International), we were given a CD packed full of international resources. There are more general things, as well as various resources for different international festivals. And I’m making it available for download!

The CD is just over 600mb, so I’ll be posting it in two parts. The links to download the first part (international festivals) are below. Stay tuned for part two!

Update: Part 2 is available here.
